What this policy covers
This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit this website or contact us. Each of our apps has its own privacy policy that explains what that app collects and why. You’ll find it inside the app and on its App Store and Google Play listings.
Information we collect
When you visit this website. We don’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and we don’t build profiles of visitors. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically processes the technical information needed to deliver pages securely, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time of the request.
When you contact us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and anything you choose to tell us.
How we use it, and why
- To deliver this website and keep it secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a reliable, secure website.
- To reply to your message and deal with your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us or, where your message is about a contract with us, taking steps at your request before entering into one.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping business records.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the business and act on our instructions: our website host (Vercel Inc.) and our email provider. We may also share information with professional advisers, or where the law requires it. We never sell personal data.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations (including the UK–US data bridge) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep emails for as long as we need to deal with your enquiry, and generally for no more than two years after our last contact, unless we need to keep them longer for legal reasons. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. To make a request, email info@beclabs.co.uk. We’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from children through it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll publish the new version here and update the date at the top of the page.
